Training

Employees receive on going training during their career at Ambucare. Ambucare Co-Sponsors Critical Care Classes with West Central Technical College to offer training for the CCEMTP certification. Ambucare also Co-Sponsors many training classes with Higgins General Hospital, these training sessions offer us the opportunity to train with our alliances such as Rescue Air 1 Service.

In 2004, the Hazard's Council provided Haralson County with a re-enactment of a Trupact Nuclear Waste Container Spill. The simulation involved an accident between a tractor-trailer truck carrying three 20 ton Trupacts waste containers and two additional vehicles. This particular drill provided 10 simulated injuries.

Furthermore, this drill was intended to, and did provide first-responders, such as Ambucare and both State and Local officials, the opportunity to work together in a multi-agency training event.
